Hey there :)
I am trying to print a filled colour background. I am using WORD 2000. I
have inserted some wort art and then added a background. The text will print
but the background is still white. I went into the options in the print menu
and ticked the box for print background and it is still not happening. Any
suggestions?

Hi Adam,

Prior to Word 2003 'backgrounds' were a feature of
Word web-documents (i.e. the background will work
in File=>Web Page Preview and print from your browser).

To add the colored background in your version for a Word
print-document one methods is to use View=>Header/Footer
draw an autoshape from the Drawing toolbar and use the
Fill icon on the drawing toolbar to use a single color,
gradient fill, texture fill or a picture fill. You can use
Format Autoshape to change the transparency of the background.
