Hi,

We seem to be having problems adding printer drivers in XP and 2K
workstations. When the driver is added it has the fully qualified domain
name extension and when we attempt to print we get the message that the
printer is not connected. Example Staff printer on ad.ids.ac.uk, it should
be Staff printer on Ansells. I just wondered if you had come across this
before and whether it is a Microsoft bug.

Your help would be much appreciated.

How do you set up the driver to print to the print?

Like:

\\ad.ids.sc.uk\Staffprinter ????

The printer is added in the normal fashion i.e. Printers and Faxes, Add a
printer and then choose it from a list of printers on the network in AD.

Why am I not getting a response?
