Printers

Can anyone help me? Any time I access anything to do with
printing my system locks up. This includes looking at the
printers. Programs setting printers... lockup. This just
suddenly started everything else appears to be working
fine, execpt every couple of boots McAfee active sheild
doesn't load I have to log off then back on and it loads
correctly.
I have reapplied SP4.
P4 3.06Mhz, 512 DDR, ATI Radeon 9000

can you find anythig under Event viewer?
(Start > Programs > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer)
If you see some thing error,
Post Event ID, Source & Description.

you need update your VPN Software.

otherwise
can you download
startup control panel
http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml
and install it, then check what kind program you have applied by start automatically.
then try disable some of them and make boot simple
