I recently re-loaded Win XP on my PIII system. I have an HP 820 Cse that is
locally connected on the parallel LPT1 port. I've added this printer before
to a Win XP system. The drivers are loaded in XP.
This time, the drivers would load, but then the Add Print Wizard gave me the
following error:
"Unable to Install Printer. Either the printer name was typed incorrectly
or the specified printer has lost connection to the server. For more info,
click help."
This printer is locally connected, not on a server. There was no useful
information on the Microsoft site.
Upon startup, the system detects the correct printer, but then gives me a
similar message saying the the name is incorrect.
Any thoughts.
