I have a small internet cafe with 10 workstations and
a HP laserjet all networked. Currently when somebody prints i have no
way of identifying which workstation it has come from, this is
obviously not very practical. Can anyone offer any suggestions?.

many thanks

is your printer attached to a networked computer, or to its own print
server?

It is attached to a networked computer which acts as a print
server - if that computer is switched off nobody can print. Thanks for
the help.

I don't think then there is anything you can do. If you used something like
HP Jetdirect print server then you can set print jobs to print banners
(showing the user) before each job....
