Hi Yan,

Is this an image that you created? If so open up Target
Designer and make sure you have the Windows Installer
component in your image.

No, i'm not buliding a image
I bought a few Neoware EON appliances with XPe + SP1 and replacing some PCs with them. And as i have some local connected printers, i want to add the drivers to make them work

What kind of error messages are you getting?

I would take the driver files needed for that printer on
XP Pro and drop them in the I386 directory. Then shutdown
and restart the appliance. It should be able to install
then. It is detecting the new hardware when you hook it
up right?

Yan,

Usually when you weren't the one who created the image, it is recommended to contact the device manufacturer.

With drivers, however, it may be easier to install at runtime. If you've got all the driver dependencies in your image (you may
check that with a tool like Dependency Walker), you will just need to put the driver files under appropriate windows directories
(\windows\system32\driver, \windows\inf, etc.) and PnP will do the rest on next boot.

I just got some advice from the manufacturer (Neoware) and will follow them
Thanks for your help.
