Go to Start>Run and type in Services.MSC. There should be a service
called Spooler Service. Is the status "Started"? If not, try right
clicking on it and clicking Start.

Jim,

That did the trick, but now I still cannot print because I am offline. I
tried playing with properties and ports and got stuck in ports and needed to
trun the computer off. How do you think I can out of "offline" mode?

thanks

the dependencies services or groups failed to start. the spooler service is
not running, i
dont know what to do , the status does not show started, i have tried
starting it manual and automatic with retries. help plz.

I tried starting the spooler through Services and I get error 1058 "The

Check the archives back to around August 6, this was covered.

It looks like this thread, which goes back to Dec.6, 2005.

If I look in my "Services", "Print Spooler" service is set to
Automatic and is already running. The "Dependencies" tab shows
the Print Spooler relies on "Remote Procedure Call", but if
RPC wasn't there, the computer would be in very poor shape
and many other things would be busted.
