i have a laserwriter laying around. problem: it's for a
mac and i have a mac no more. the question: is there a
way that i can use the apple printer with the pc i own
now. i don't know what kinda cables i'd use. my guess is
some kinda whatever -> usb/seriel converter. is it even
possible? thanx for your time.

Hello

Call apple and go to the website and see what info you
can find on that printer, also try looking for drivers for it
but your better off buying a new printer

Exactly. What printer model is it and what connection type does it use?
Most hardware such as this are cross platform these days and can work on
both. PC's have the same hookups as Mac's in terms of USB, FireWire,
Parallel, Serial, etc ;)

Windows supports a bunch of Apple LaserWriters natively. If the cable is
USB, just plug it in. If the printer is very exotic, search Apple site for
PC drivers.
