With W2K Server, Active Directory and roving profiles we
are running into the problem of a local printer on one of
the work stations appearing to dump or reset the global
default printer in favor of the local printer. This
specifically has a problem with printing from a network
application using Acrobat Reader.
The work around is resetting the default printer back to
the network printer and then choosing the default network
printer in Acrobat Reader. Of course our user is not
smart enough to do this even after instruction so we are
forced to perform this task remotely several times a day.
Right now our only sure solution is to remove the local
printer.
Any Ideas on a real fix - keeping the local priinter?
Thanks!
