printer options

when i installed my hp psc1210, i couldn';t get it to
print in greyscale. i called hp and they said it was a
windows xp problem. can someone please help!

comp.sys.hp.hardware has some actual, real-live HP printer techs reading
the group. comp.periphs.printers is also good.
