I have an HP Officejet 5510 which is connected by USB to my desktop. My
desktop is wirelessly connected to my laptop, sharing the printer. I try to
print a test page to the printer from both of the computers and it gets about
3 cm into the page, stops for 30 seconds, then just decides to print 1 or 2
more lines every minute or so. What could this problem possibly be? If it was
just the laptop, I'd believe it was just the wireless connection was a little
slow, but its the desktop as well. Now I'm thinking it has something to do
with the connection between the printer and computer... The USB ports that I
am connected to are not the On board ones... its a seperate USB 2.0 card that
I installed. this could be it as well, but the catch is that for the 2 weeks
before today, the printer worked fine, printed fine, from both of the
computers. This has just started now for no real reason. What could it be?

Im no pro but the symptoms dont seem to come together to me, and that
frustrates me, so I'm hoping I can get an answer before I accidntally flip on
this printer.

I would check with HP's website for more information. Try downloading the
latest driver for your printer if you have already not done so. You can also
try using another printer driver if you have it. You can switch it by:
-- Start -- Printers and Faxes -- Right click on printer -- Properties --
Advanced tab -- Driver

Here is HP's website support for your printer model:
