On windows 95 - to check my remaining ink available for my
printer - I would click printer properties where a pop up
box would appear offering the facility to check ink levels.
On windows xp professional - the same box appears with
only three options : head clean / nozzle check / printer
alignment.
How does one check the remaining ink available.
This option is not listed on any help or support or search
facility on any part of word or publisher

Frustrating

Hi Katie,
Dependent on the printer you have, you can normally
download a utility from the printer driver manufacturer
that will allow you to do this. I installed a Lexmark
printer and it has a utility to monitor the printer ink
levels. But, this was not with the standard driver. It
was a separate download from their website.

katie
go start/printers and faxes/right click on printer/
go printing preferences/
go cartridge maintenance/cartridge - tab/
view 'ink level displays at top of page'/
note
this for a lexmark printer
and
take it fr there
