when you select file --> print
there should be a check box on the resulting properties page that is labeled
"print to file"
Tick that box and hit the print button, it will ask for a save location and
file name.
If your application doesn't support it directly modify your printer
properties and select the FILE: port, when you print you will be asked for
the file name.
