Convert A4 size to letter size document

If I receive an e-mail with an A4 size document attached, how do I convert it
a printable letter-size document?
 
That depends on the application for the document, unless of course your
particular printer has the ability to auto-resize A4 to Letter.
 
If the document is an Excel file there is an option under Page Layout to Fit
to X pages wide by X pages tall. You can just tell it 1 x 1 and it'll do it
when you print. You can also save the file to your hard drive like that so
every time you need to print it will automatically do it.

Also, if your file is a graphic and you're on XP, Windows can automatically
resize to fit on a page. Right click the graphic and say print. In there it
has options for how to print.

What format is the attachment in? Assuming that you have a word
processing program that handles that format, open it in your program,
and reformat the document any way you want it.
