When I choose Print from the file menu the email I want to print
deletes and doesn't print. This only happens when the menu is
expanded. I can print from the print icon on the toolbar. This is in
Outlook 2003

Any ideas?

Thanks

Print what from which version in which window? Really, do you expect the
crystal ball to have that much power?

As I said

When I choose Print from the file menu "the email" I want to print
deletes and doesn't print. This only happens when the menu is
expanded. I can print from the print icon on the toolbar. This is in

It doesn't matter what window I'm in. It happens whenever I try to
print an email message.

Apparently your ability to read doesn't have that much power either

You're right of course . I should've said Thank You so very much for
your sarcastic response even though I CLEARLY wrote in my post that I
can't print an EMAIL and this for OUTLOOK 2003. How un-thoughtful of me
to be irritated by someone who doesn't even take the time to (or simply
can't) read the entire post. Maybe Milly just couldn't understand all
those big words like print, email , and Outlook. Honestly I don't care
if this person helps me or not. They are obviously not intelligent
enough to give me the correct answer anyway.

And.... I won't, even though I know.

See, I can be spiteful too.

|| Yeah, that's the way to elicit an answer from someone - insult them.

If you spent half the time looking at the posted messages in this newsgroup
that you're spending composing your irate responses, you'd see that Milly in
one of the most helpful and _accurate_ responders in this newsgroup. And
you still haven't answered the question she asked. She never asked you
which version you were using (obviously she read that you were using Outlook
2003), but you didn't state which window you had open. Just saying, "I'm
printing email" does NOT answer that question.

Until you can be more precise in the information and symptoms you present,
no one will be able to help you.

Brian and Milly,

My response was completely uncalled for. Chalk it up to a bad week. I
apologize for my less than stellar attitude towards people that were
only trying to help.
I was able to find a solution. A repair of Office seems to have done
the trick. I'm not sure if this was the best solution, but it did
work.

Again I apologize for my poor attitude.

Your Karma ran over my dogma! Your bad day and mine seemed to coincide.
Sorry for the snippy answer but I had just read and responded to about 5
posts from folks who dl'd the Office 2007 beta, made no backups, and were
whining about suing Microsoft when they could not revert to their prior
version.

Yes, Detect and Repair is always the first step to troubleshoot issues as
sometimes Office/Outlook has files that get "stepped on" by some other
program or process. If that had not worked, I would have suggested deleting
the printer and reinstalling it along with a new printer driver.
