I have a user that, when she wants to print current page in a multipage
document, only page 2 will print. For instance, we page down to page 10.
Once we select print, we can see in the background (behind print dialog box)
that page 2 is showing and page 2 is what will print. We are using Office
2003, sp1. It has only been reported by one user so far. What is causing
this and how can it be fixed. Thanks for your help.

Hi, there,

Can you tell me how to post a new article? I know how to reply now although.
Many thanks!

You *really* need to learn how to do this but without knowing how you are

I didn't look that close. I saw the question and stopped there. (I've been
fighting with that blaster Win98 reload all day. Between that and the heat,
my brain is fried.)

After someone posed a different question on my post, the conversation turned
to that instead of a response to my original question. So, I will ask it
again in hopes that someone out there can help me. Thank you.

I replied to your original post and asked if you could send me the document
so that I could look at it and I never heard from you. If you would like me
to take a look at it, send it along.

Since your question was highjacked, try starting a new thread. That should
help keep the confusion level down.

Are you positive that the cursor is on page 10? I.e., if you simply
scroll down via a mouse wheel, Word might show you page 10 while the
cursor is still on page 2 ...

Carol, I apologize. You did ask me to send you the document. I'll have to
see if I can do that. We usually do not send our documents out.

Yes, I'm sure I'm on the specific page. I don't just scroll down. I click
somewhere on the page so that it becomes active.

Yes, they are. Since I posted this, I have found that this is happening to
several users in our firm. The documents do not contain sections, the
margins are set properly, no mail merge is involved. I am at a loss as to
how to fix this.

Unfortunately, I'm at a loss as well. Without being able to see the
document, its very difficult to give an answer. Perhaps one of the MVP's
here can assist you.

There's no magic wand, alas! :-)

Carol, is this happening all in the same (set of) file(s), maybe in
files created from the same document template? Might as well be
struggling with a slightly corrupt document:

How can I recover a corrupt document or template – and why did it become
corrupt? (by Dave Rado and John McGhie)
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/CorruptDoc.htm

Can you reproduce it on different systems? Try a computer at home, maybe?

If it's installation-specific, it's up to you to decided whether it's
easier to nail down the error or simply setup a new system. I would
definitely try to find the error once it happens again ...

And be sure to check that your antivirus software us up-to-date and
running before anything else.
