Primary/Secondary IDE controller fault. Code=10(OxA)

My DVD rom has dissapeared!Looked in system information
and I have found I have problems on both Primary and
secondary IDE controllers."These devices are not present,
not working properly or do not have all the drivers
installed" is the message I have been given when doing a
diagnostic report.I have fitted a brand new DVD rom but
still no joy. Any suggestions? The problem code is:10(OxA)
if that means anything to you. Appreciate any help. Cheers.
