Hi,
Whenever I boot up my computer running windows XP, i get a
message on the post screen that says Primary Master Hard
Disk Fail. I can push F1 to continue and then I get
another that says something along the lines that it has to
boot from the cd or something. I put in the CD, try to
repair and it says it cannot due to the hard disk error.
Next time I try to re format, but I get the exact same
message. I have taken the case off and made sure that all
the connections are in, and they are, so im wondering if
there is anything I can do to save my computer, I dont
really care about the files currently on it though, just
along I can use the computer again...
Thanks for the help in advance...

Time to buy a new hard disk. Perhaps you can replace the old one under
warranty.

James;
Back-up any important data IMMEDIATELY.
The hard drive may be failing.

Go to the website of the hard drive/computer manufacturer and get
their hard drive diagnostics.
