Previous User Doesn't Disappear

I've got a strange question. One of our laptops was recently passed from one
employee to her replacement. I went through the machine to reconfigure it
for the new user, deleting previous user profiles etc. I also enabled the
policy that prevents user names from remaining on the log-on screen. The
previous user's name, however, keeps poping up on the screen saver password.
I don't know how to get rid of it and it is frustrating for the current user
of the computer. Any ideas?
 
What actions have you taken to resolve the problem?

You could list them in order to prevent people from repeating what you have
already done.

Have you tried changing the screensaver or opting for no screensaver under
Display Properties in the Control Panel?

You could also conduct a search for the name in the Registry by entering
regedit in the start -> run box, and delete any references to her or change
the name.

Open IE, to to Tools, Internet Options, Click the Content Tab. Go to the
AutoComplete section, Click the AutoComplete button and clear the history.
 
Hello this is more of a question than a comment - I have a similar problem
although my problem deals with previous email addresses used to log on. The
drop down menu for usernames consists of only hotmail email addresses. I
disabled AutoComplete already and that did not work. I also tried searching
for the usernames in the regedit window that was suggested below and the
names still come up. Please help. Thanks.
