Preview window delay

takes about 5 seconds after clicking on an email for it
to show up in the preview window.

Any ideals what's causing this delay?

could be your computer - if you're running an older system
it may not have the capabilites to open the email any
faster (especially if the email is large).

Disable instant messaging.

Yea, i second that - turn off Instant messaging integration. You might get extension
errors when you load outlook - these are non-fatal and just continue on.
