Frank may understand?

But it sure is not hitting anything that I have
seen previously for Windows Mail?
What do you do when the last text line on screen is half hidden below the
window?
1. Try to make out the characters from the visible top half?
2. Use the slider bar to expose the full line?
3. Drag the top edge of the window up to expose the full line?
4. Drag the top edge of the window down to fully hide the line? It now will
appear in full on the next page.
5. Don't bother trying to read it, and hit the space bar for the next page?
In all applications I'm used to, I do 5. And there on the next page the line
is now fully exposed, either on top, or as the second line; depending on the
overlap in the pg/dn function. Doing this in Windows Mail, I now have the
option to:
1. Try to make out the characters from the visible bottom half. 2 as above,
3 doesn't work, 4 is illogical, and 5. Don't bother with it and hope nothing
important was missed.
Again, what do you do?
Of course it's possible to manually adjust; but it's annoying, for depending
on font sizes used, the exactly correct pane size keeps changing.
This part of your last response leads me to consider a 3rd party
intervention of some kind? :
Highly unlikely, close to the point of being impossible.
">> All applications that deal with text, overlap the text block visible
on
So what responses did you get in the Newsgroups that relate to the other
"All applications that deal with text"?
I'm not subscribed to other Newsgroups. In any case, those other mail
programs have different annoyances; otherwise I would just switch.
Have you checked for any updated Video Drivers?
I've got a new Acer laptop, set up for automatic updates.
Can you post a small screen shot of what you are seeing in WM, or upload
the shots taken in WM and all other applications that deal with text, that
are effected, to a web site and post the link.
Perhaps, if you still think it's necessary after having read the above.
One more thing, I'm using the 3-pane vertical column lay-out. And thanks for
your time.
