This is my first attempt at using MS Mail wince it came with my new Vista
Notebook. Not a bad program, but I'd like modify the preview header to
display the sent date and time, and perhaps not show some of the default info.

Is this possible?

Right click on any Header column and select Columns.

Thanks for the reply, although I don't think I asked my question correctly.
What I am looking to do is modify what is displayed in the header section of
the preview pane, i.e. where the default is "From, To, and Subject". It is
the grayish area between the message and the message list pane.

Thanks again . . .

You can't change what is displayed in the PPH, it is hard coded into the
system.

You can remove it via view>layout.

Out of interest, what would you prefer it to show, if not "From, To, and
Subject"?

Thanks for the answer - that is kind of what I thought - and was afraid of.

It is not a deal breaker, as far as using Mail or not, but I would prefer it
to show From, Subject, and Date/Time *Sent*. I like to know when the sender
actually sent the mail, not necessarily when I received it.

Thanks for the help . . .

All that information is either already in the message list pane, or can
be added there very easily. See the first response.
