Preventing selected objects from printing?

Is there a way to prevent a selected object on a page from printing on
a color printer?

I know that in black&white or grayscale, you can select "don't show"
for a certain item, but I haven't found this option when printing to a
color printer. I make use of a lot of layered text and object boxes
which leave some slides a visual mess, and I'd love to be able to
select which item amidst the layers to actually print.

Steve and Brian's RnR Tools Starter Set Plus ($20, I think) has a layer
manager thingamajig. It lets you hide objects, and I'd think if they were
hidden, they wouldn't print.

Hopefully Steve will be along shortly to confirm.

Even better: the Accessibility Assistant included in the free PPT2HTML demo is
an improved version of the layer manager thingie and did I mention that it's
free?

And you're right: invisible is as invisible does. If it's invisible in PPT,
it won't print (in any mode, color, grayscale, pure b/w, whatever)

Cool. Very cool.

Thanks for confirming.
