Preventing Program Startup

I want to stop a program from starting automatically withou removing it.

I can't for the life of me, remeber the 'coomand' to run so delete it
from the
startup list.

Normally you configure programs in the program. Assuming it doesn't self repair type MSConfig.

Is "msconfig" in a "Command Prompt" window, the Coomand you need?
 
1) Try to find an option in the program itself to prevent
it from running automatically,
OR
2) Look in the Startup folder, under Programs - delete it,
OR
3) Run MSCONFIG (Start, Run type MSCONFIG, hit OK, look
under the Startup tab). Uncheck it, hit apply, OK, restart
as directed.
OR
4) Search for it in the Registry (Be careful, John)

Try in THIS order.
