My daughter created a PowerPoint presentation at school anf save on a floppy. The floppy could not be read once she got home. I was able to recover the file but PowerPoint would not open it. The message was that the file name was invalid. I changed the name to what she said it was originally but still would not open
Can anyone help, her assignment is due!!

Hi,

I'm not sure what you mean by being able to recover it but not be able to
open it. Anyway, floppies are not good for PowerPoint files, especially if
you save direct to them. Maybe this will help...

Thanks for the tip Glen. What I was able to do was to use a file utility to recover the file, but this recovered file still could not be opened in powerpoint. I found the link you provided throught another source and tried all of the suggestions. It was helpful but I still have not been able to open the file in PowerPoint. I am going to load and try Open Office
I really appreciate your reply

Hi Mike,

Hope it all goes well. I've had all types of theories as to how to recover
files but nothing has ever worked.
