Prefetch Folder Is it Working

Is there any way to check whether the Prefetch Function
in my computer is working. It used to show numerious
files after I had used various programs. But now the
folder in windows is always blank. I ran up some
programs just to test it but nothing appeared. Is there
any other way to test it and if neccessary get it
working.The computer is set to show all hidden folders
files. could I have deleted something which damaged it.

Hi Ray

Delete the Prefetch folder to the Recycle Bin and reboot your system. A new Prefetch folder will be created on reboot - see if that helps.
