I am trying to set up a number of custom views which show on the navigation
bar. As I have a number of custom views I don't want to see the predefined
views.
How do I do this:
a) I can't delete the prefined views - outlook won't let me :-{
b) Views in the navigation panes only allow me to set all views to show there.

Is there a way around this.

Chris

To force users to see a custom view when they open a public folder:

-- Create the custom view, choosing the "On this folder, visible to everyone" option

-- On the Properties dialog for the folder, on the Administration tab, select your view as the initial view on the folder.

-- Choose View | Current View | Define Views, and at the bottom of that dialog, check the box for "Only show views created for this folder."

Sorry but I couldn't get your instructions to work. I don't understand which
folder you are referring to in the second point.
Just to confirm I want to see all custom views (I have a number) and I don't
want to see the predefined views

You would have to set each folder not to show the predefined views. There is no global setting for this.

Perhaps the easier course would be to modify the predefined views to do what you want?

That sounds like a great idea. One small problem how do I change the view
type? All of my custom views will be as cards not as tables. Is there a wayto
change?

Chris

No, you cannot convert an existing view from one type to another.
