Prague?

Has anyone here been to Prague before? I'm thinking of booking somewhere there as a holiday in mid August.

I've heard good reports from most people that have been there, so it does sound good so far!
 
Have been there and I say one thing> they don`t like the Brits:bow: I would never go there again, although it is a nice place?
 
Yeah iv'e heard that from friends that have been there too.....
 
I went into a restaurant and ordered a meal, I waited and waited and waited, I asked the waiter what the problem was, he replied you did not book a table? So I waited and waited and waited again, where I was sitting I could see the waiters serving others whom arrived, after some 45 mins, there where 2 guys sitting at the next table I ask them as they spoke English? If they had booked a table NO they replied, yes you guessed it they were served before me, I looked at the waiter and in arrogant way he nodded and said won’t be long now, as he approached me with my order I rose out of my seat, he proceeded to lay the table and I walked away, your food is ready he said Oh I said I am sorry you had not booked my Credit card and it expired at 12 am it is now 12.30.

I left and grinned at him,:) they say revenge is sweet and it certainly was. :D
 
a couple of my mates went there for a few days a couple of months ago, they said it was really nice place but the prices were different for tourists and the people that live there
 
After posting this it looks like we'll be visiting Beckys grandparents instead for a weekend, and then go on holiday at the end of Sept when its cheaper :)
