PQI USB secure digital card reader

I installed a PQI USB secure digital card reader on my
Windows XP Pro system (which has every available update
installed). The system recognizes that it is a USB SD
card reader, but says that no driver exists. It also
does not recognize the mfr (PQI). I couldn't find
anything on the Knowledge Base, and the PQI site says
that it is XP compatible with no driver needed. I have
sent a query to PQI to see if anyone else has the problem.

I forgot to mention that my (other brand) CompactFlash

USB card reader works fine plugged into the same USB port.
