I'd like to make a ppt show with a continuous sound file (voice over) that
sort of narrates the whole thing. Is it possible to somehow link the sound
file into the show so that when the presentation starts, the sound file will
begin and play through the whole show? I use Office 2003. Thanks!

Try this entry from the PPT FAQ, Play sounds across multiple slides (A WAV
runs through it):

http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00047.htm

However, PowerPoint does not do a good job of synchronizing the sound with
your slides. If the synchronization is key, you might want a different sound
for each slide. The sounds can be set to automatically play when each slide
starts.

What David said. But also, if it's just voice narration (ie, no continuous
music bed) perhaps PPT's Slide Show, Record Narration feature will do just what
you want.
