PPT midi question, please

Hi! In Power Point 2002, I have added a midi file to the first slide and
have assigned it to run continuously for 999 slides. That part works fine,
but I am having trouble getting the music to begin when the first slide
comes up. On my home computer, there is a 3 or 4 second delay before it
begins. On my work computer, there is a 7 or 8 second delay. Both are
running Windows XP, but the power Point at work is 2003, I believe. I have
the midi file set for "after previous" with 0 secs delay. Any suggestions?

When you play the midi outside of PowerPoint, do you notice a delay? It
could be in the file. The difference in delay between your two systems
could be a number of things related to resources. See
