Why is it that my animations change whenever i post it on the web
conferencing? i had asked the web conferencing company for help. i emailed
them the presentation and the animation they see is different from how i had
done it. they told me its microsoft problem. Is it possible that there are
compatibility issues? Because but posting it and emailing it to them produced
the same changes in animation. When I sent the same presentation to someone
else, they see the original version of how I saved it...

What version of PPT are you developing presentations with?
Most web conferencing software are only capable of using a
small portion of the avalable animation and slide
transition possibilities, especially if you are using PPT
2002/2003 animations/transitions.

The question to ask the web conferencing company you are
using is what PPT animations and slide transitions they
can handle. Then you need to build your presentation to
those capabilities/limitations.

I am guessing that you are using two different versions of PowerPoint.
Specifically, you are probably on PPT 2002(XP) or 2003, and they are on PPT
2000 or earlier. IF this is the case, they won't see your slides the same as
you will.

One solution is for them to download the 2003 PPT Viewer. Information on
that can be found in this entry from Steve Rindsberg's PPT FAQ:

Hi Kathy J,

Thanks for the reply....
The participants viewing my presentations are all connected to one network.
Thus if I email them the presentation, it preserves all the animations. It is
when I post it to the web conferencing that the animation changes. So I don't
think a viewer is the answer.
The web conferencing company insisted that I inserted the animations where I
did not, because that is how it was showing on their PC. I also informed them
of my PPT version (2002 XP) but all they said was that it is a Microsoft
problem...

I am stumped.
