PowerPointXP doesn't play mpegs nor QuickTime movies

I have recently installed Win XP and Office XP.
PowerPointXP doesn't play mpegs nor QuickTime movies.
Somone has todl me that I need to change the computer
registry to enable PP to play embeded videos but the info
that I 've got was NOT for Win XP so I don't know how to
do it.
Can someone help me and email me on
(e-mail address removed) when an answer is published on the
group please ?

Oh, I meant to add a link to

But since you can't play MPEGs, either, the multimedia tutorial I gave
the link for in the previous reply is also worth reading.
