If anyone can help please do. I am wondering if
windows xp comes with PowerPoint on it already? If it
does I cannot find it on my computer anywhere. Can you
tell me how to go about finding it. I have already done a
search result and I am coming up empty handed. Thanks for
your time.

PowerPoint an other Microsoft Office applications are not
included with Windows and never will be. You need to go
buy a copy and install it

No. Neither Windows XP, nor any other version of Windows, has ever come with PowerPoint or any other application software. PowerPoint is a component of Microsoft Office, and can be obtained either by buying Microsoft Office or buying it standalone.

If your previous computer, running Windows 9X, came with PowerPoint (or Word, Excel, etc.), it wasn't because Windows 9X came with them, it was because the company who sold it to you chose to bundle them (or Microsoft Office) as part of the package it sold.
 
However Michelle, you can download a PowerPoint Reader for free. I forget
where in Microsoft it is. Try putting it in Google and I'm sure it will
