PowerPoint won't compress pictures for 2 users - works for others.

We have 2 users in our office who cannot compress pictures with PowerPoint.
The document size stays the same.
However, when they send their presentation to others, the pictures compress
and the file size is reduced.
We all have the same version of PowerPoint - Office 2003 SP1.

Are there any settings that would prevent picture compression??

I appreciate any feedback.

Coming to this late, but another thing to check is Fast Saves. It sounds
like the 2 users who "can't compress" might be able to compress, but have
Fast Saves on so the file size doesn't change. Turn it off via Tools-->
Options--> Save tab. Once it is turned off, save the presentation under a
new name (using File--> Save as) and the file size should shrink.

Any chance they're choosing to "compress selected pictures" as opposed to
"all pix"?
