I'm running presentaions using Powerpoint 2002 (Office XP) with latest
updates (Windows XP SP2). As a part of the presentation I need to ALT-TAB to
demonstrate some different software that I've previously started ... leaving
the presentation running ... then several mintes later ALT-TAB back to
Powerpoint again. However, every 2 minutes Powerpoint decides that it is in
control and switches back ... even though I'm still trying to use the other
software.

This only started after adding the latest updates ... how can I stop it? I
know I can ESCAPE and then resume the presentation but that does not look
very professional. Any ideas welcomed!

try creating an action button/action setting in your PPT
(see Slide Show > Action Buttons) to link to your
different software.

Jamie,

In SlideShow, Setup:

- Is the Show Type set to "Browsed at a kiosk..."? If so, try "Presented by a
speaker ..." instead

- Show Options: "Loop continuously" checkmarked? If so, remove the checkmark.
