What I do is to hide the slides while in edit mode so they don't show. From
there, I use either the manual way or the custom show way to get to the
extra information.
Manual way
I make a cheat card with the name of the slide and its slide number. While
running the show, you can type in the slide number and press the enter key -
Bingo you are at the extra information. When you want to go back, type in
the slide number for where you were, hit enter, and - bingo- there you are.
Custom show way
If it is a group of slides, you might also create a custom show (or series
of custom shows) and create hidden hyperlinks to those shows. Set the link
up as "Show and Return" and when the custom show is done, you end up back
where you started.
