Both Power point and Word are part of the same package. They both require
word processing capabilities. It should not be difficult to provide the
thesaurus functionality in Power point also as it exists in Word. It some
times helps in picking the right word while making bullet points for
presentation and while writing notes

It has one. At least, PPT 2003 has one. Right-click the word and choose look
up or synonyms.
