powerpoint freezes up when running a video, help!!!!!!!!!

When running a video in the presentation, the powerpoint presentation will
freeze. Why and how do I fix it. Its a new computer with 1G of RAM and Intel

install directx (latest version)

play for certain powerpoint addin
