PowerPoint file views

When i go to open a PowerPoint file, the view i get is always "preview". How
do i set it so that it will always open "list" (list all of my other Office
programs)? thank you.

Nothing much you can do about it I'm afraid. It has been reported that a
change in Windows Explorer can do the trick. Some people said it worked
others say it did not. Does not work for me but hey it does not hurt to try.
In Windows Explorer go to View
Select the view you want in your case List
Choose Tools, folder options, View tab
Click on apply to all folders, click Yes to confirm
OK your way out

just found your reply. thanks. also read two other threads with numerous
replies. this did not work. guess i will just have to live with it. thanks
