What am I doing wrong that the file size gets so large? I have a 10 slide presentation without graphics that is 4MB. I deleted every slide in the presentation and it still show 3.6MB.

Rick,

You probably have something called "fast saves" still turned on.
Why 'fast saves' is still in powerpoint I'll never know!

Have you got any graphs (e.g., exported from excel?)
I found that turning them into simple drawings can save a lot of memory
(you can do that within powerpoint, it escapes me right now exactly how).

Gab.
