I've created a PowerPoint XP presentation that has slides with excel worksheet object embedded in them. When I edit the objects and make even small changes, and then save the file, the file size dramatically increases (goes from 1 MB to 4 MB on the first save, then when re-editing it, it goes to 8 or 9 MB). How do I "shrink" the final, edited file back to the normal size?

Hi,

There are a number of reasons why file size bloats:

Why are my PowerPoint files so big? What can I do about it?

But a constant increase in file size on every save sounds first of all like
fast saves is turned on. The article in the url I attached will explain
more.
