I have PowerPoint 2003 and have played MP3s inserted in the slides. About 2
days ago I noticed that it no longer plays MP3s. I have tried the detect and
repair feature, but that didn't work.
What do I need to do in order to play MP3s in my slides again?

Can you insert the MP3s?

What if you put the presentation and the MP3 in a test folder on your hard
drive (something like C:\test) and then insert it into the presentation?
Does it play then?

First, did you change anything (install new software, upgrade audio program,
move the presentation)?

Okay, so try this:

Go to Start|Run and type mplay32.exe Open the MP3 in that media player. Does
it play there?
