Hi Everybody.

I am working as an IT technician for a brokerage company !! We are
surviving right now to a migration from NT to XP. One of the problem I
have is with the compatibility between powerpoint 97 and XP. All the
custommers have a lot of powerpoint files with orgcharts but, when you
try to edit thoses orgcharts with Powerpoint XP, It's dosent look like
the original ones at all !! Everything is mess up.

I found a few things about compatibility between thoses different
versions of orgchart but, nothing have worked !Even in the microsoft
knowledge base.

In another newsgroup, someone have posted something from the KB but,
it was destinated to OFFICE 2003 so, it didn't worked either.

Does someone have a good idea to help me ??

I am surely not the only one who have lived a NT to XP migration.

Thank's for listening and thinking !!

PowerPoint 97 and 2000 both used an independent program to create Organization
charts. In 2002 (and continuing in 2003) PowerPoint creates its own Org charts
internally, so when you try to edit the earlier-made ones it won't work.

Check the last two or three paragraphs here for a possible solution:

Can't edit Org Chart, Graph, Excel (error msg: "server application, source
file, or item can't be found")
