Insert Object database file will insert (or link to) the entire db into the
presentation. This is not a good method if you do not want people to see
some parts of your database or if the presentation needs to be portable.
Do you need the full interactivity of the DB or could you simply export a
section of your data to a simple excel spreadsheet? PowerPoint can show a 2
dimensional image easier than one with 3 or more dimensions.
