PowerPoint 2003 - Slide Markups

I am noticing that on most of my computers w/PowerPoint 2003, I am unable to
see and use the Felt Tip/Ballpoint Pen/Highlighter functions on my slide for
markups. It shows the option to me to use, but when I select it - nothing
happens.

However, I do have one computer that is is working like it should, with no
problems.

Any ideas on what my problem could be? I thought they were all loaded the
exact same way.
 
Two things spring to mind.

1. You may have failed to install "microsoft handwriting component" when you
installed ofice. do an "add/remove features > advanced customization"
reinstall to check

2. You could have problems with the video card accelleration. Try turning
down the settings for hardware accelleration
(Control Panel>display>settings>advanced>troubleshoot)
