I want to be able to turn off power to all my accessories when I shutdown the
computer. I had an older Gateway that would shut off the monitor, printer,
speakers when I shutdown. I now have a new Dell and hate that each thing is
individually powered on and off. Is there a way I can fix this?

Not really, although you can buy powerbars which shut off power to
everything connected when the primary component (connected to a specific
socket) is turned off.

Most computers I've seen aren't set up in such an integrated fashion.

I have a Dell, and, with the exception of the monitor, everything else shuts
off when I power down the pc. You can go to power settings ( that's one
way, the other is display settings) and set the monitor to turn off after a
specified amount of time.
