Is there a difference between the 9800 256mb cards from powercooler, ati,
sapphire or whatever? Should I just look for the best price or is there
something (secret... secret...) that I should be looking for?

The only difference is the warranty. All of them are
made by ATI, and are identical. Best price is best deal
.... except look at warranty.

some powercolor cards are lower than standard spec
ie 128bit rather than 256bit or slower memory - check the
specs of any card thoroughly before buying and NO they are not
all made by ATI.
