According to QB326473, even if you are a power user some
PnP device installation may not work without administrator
priveligies since they are Client Side Installations (i.e.
requires communication with a user).
We are deploying XP to 2500 users, who are power users on
their XP laptops, where they have local printers and
PCMCIA devices with client side installations. They cannot
install their devices without support!
Do anyone know if it is possible to give them an extra ACL
right (Power User+) without giving them administrator
credentials so they can handle installations without
support?
Thanks
