Power Schemes Greyed out in windows xp home

When i go to power options, under the power schemes tab, theres no power
scheme listed and all the drop down menus are greyed out.
 
Could be your power management in your Bios is not configured properly.

Your video card and/or monitor may not support power management.

I would suggest updating your video and monitor driver's from the
manufacturer's web site.

Well, on my guest account the power options are fine..just not on my account which is an administrative one...on guest account power schemes are there and everything...so its not that my computer doesnt support power management, just the current user which is mine
